The C.S. Lewis we never knew: Lost letters, mistakes and new discoveries

Have we put C.S. Lewis on a pedestal? Could thousands of lost letters change what we know about the creator of Narnia?

C.S. Lewis is one of the most influential Christian writers of the 20th Century. But according to researcher Bruce Johnson, there is still a great deal we don’t know about his life, friendships, mistakes and the people he helped.

In this episode of The C.S. Lewis Podcast, Ruth Jackson speaks to Bruce Johnson, president of the Arizona C.S. Lewis Society, general editor of Sehnsucht and manager of the C.S. Lewis Correspondence Project.

Bruce explains how The Screwtape Letters changed his own faith, what Lewis taught him during four decades of pastoral ministry, and why scholars are still uncovering new evidence about Lewis’ life.
